“V-Slate has become an indispensable tool for me to manage large-scale VFX projects. Its integration with Shotgrd is seamless, it just works. Being able to keep track of a show’s budget from prep to post and having all information in one place is a lifesaver. No more having to deal with a collection of disjointed excel sheets to manage a show. “

VFX Supervisor/ Producer
“As VFX Producer/Supervisor on Amazon’s The Peripheral, I didn’t walk into the job with my own database to track the project. So I needed a ready-made database that worked right out of the box to track my shots and finances. V-Slate was exactly what I was looking for. It made bidding and assigning shots very easy, accounted for different tax rebates in different regions, seamlessly input our on-set data, provided accurate reports for studio management, and integrated with Shotgrid. More importantly, support was readily available when I needed it. My production manager and I found it invaluable, and I absolutely hope to use it again on my next producing job.”

“V-slate was a massive help on our project, making the transition from prep to post seamless from script breakdowns to tracking shots. Once in post, we were able to provide turnovers to our vendors, track edit changes and VFX drop-ins to color, all via V-slate. We also used V-slate to keep track of budgets and could quickly export all the reports the studio needed. Alejandro was a vital asset, making himself available to help connect our Shotgrid to V-slate and ensuring an easy process for us and our vendors. Overall, we had a great experience using this software and will continue to use it on future projects.”
Todd Perry
VFX Supervisor
“V-Slate was an absolutely critical tool helping us keep I’m a Virgo on track from pre through post production. The integration with Autodesk’s Shotgrid made it so we could be working on previz before and during the show and seamlessly change over to post-viz and post-production. Further, as VFX supervisor, I could cross-reference between V-Slate and Shotgrid to access critical information. Being able to batch download playlist source files through V-Slate was a huge time saver – as opposed to hunting and pecking in the Shotgrid interface.
I’m a Virgo was a unique show in that we were using techniques that haven’t been widely used for decades. The newer production tracking systems don’t have tools for tracking these in-camera effects and things like miniatures and puppets that are integral to the VFX workflow for this show. Alejandro was able to quickly update the V-Slate tools for our show to accommodate – not only to track the information, but to disseminate information to all the other departments that would have to be in sync with the VFX department while we were shooting.”
